we are glad to inform you about a very special auction that will take place on July 18 in Monaco.
The sale will be held by Artcurial at the Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo. Let’s go through some of the main highlights:
Lot 400: Pre Daytona James Bond ref. 6238 ( worn by George Lazenby in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” )
Extremely rare watch, with its original invoice from 1968 made by Butcherer for Mr. David H. Middlemas EON Productions LTD “This is the watch for James Bond”.
An important characteristic of this watch is the red chronograph hand, and the legend says that it was modified upon request of the producers of the movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. This piece, worn by George Lazenby in the role of James Bond, is an extremely rare and collectable Pre-Daytona, the only one with red hand.

Exceptional stainless steel diver’s automatic wristwatch. Stainless steel “Oyster” bracelet with flip lock deployant clasp by Rolex.
With a fitted presentation case and outer box, certificate and “Your Rolex Oyster” booklet, double punched papers, 2 more links.
This watch is extremely rare and it is part of a very limited series, produced in a very small quantity. This first version of Sea-Dweller, known as “Patent Pending”, is recognizable by the inscription “Oyster Gas Escape Valve (Patent Pending)” on the case back ( Mark 1 )
The dial is in exceptional conditions and the watch comes with its original complete set.
